Job DescriptionAt TLE Tuckahoe, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. We believe that safety is paramount, and we are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Crossing Guard.
As a Crossing Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of children as they arrive and depart from our day care center. You will be responsible for directing traffic, assisting children in crossing the street, and maintaining a safe environment for all.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 - 9:00 am and 4:00 - 6:00 pm
(Flexibility to cover additional hours as needed.)
Pay: $17 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control traffic flow in front of the day care during drop-off and pick-up times.
- Assist children and parents in safely crossing the street.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, children, and parents to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the day care administration.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain alert and focused during busy times.
- Previous experience in a safety role or working with children is a plus.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
