Job DescriptionJob Overview of Junior Trainer
We are looking for an organized and charismatic trainer to join our organization. The trainer will be responsible for evaluating our needs and current practices and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up to date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance. The trainer will also be responsible for researching and selecting the best platform to deliver and utilize training materials.
Essential Duties of Junior Trainer
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure all mandated trainings, TCI, Mandated Reporter, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid /AED, are delivered in accordance with standards.
- Ensure all training is appropriately documented and all staff receives required training in a timely fashion.
- Provide support to agency departments on securing appropriate training resources to meet identified needs.
- Complete all paperwork requirements accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Maintain certification(s) as a trainer of TCI, CPR, First Aid, etc.
- Effectively monitor all training facilities and equipment for hazards and addresses concerns.
- Provides and accepts feedback & constructive criticism on issues affecting children, families & program.
- Consider client safety issues and risk management in the preparation and delivery of all training.
- Adhere to agency policies regarding privacy and confidentiality.
- Understanding and supporting the agency’s mission & treatment philosophy:
- Treats all clients, families and co-workers with respect & courtesy.
- Demonstrates & models’ sensitivity to cultural background of children, families, and co-workers.
- Honors Sanctuary Commitments in all day-to-day activities.
- Supports overall strategic plan of the organization.
- Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values and commitments.
Essential Qualifications of Junior Trainer
Key qualifications include:
- High School diploma required.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word. PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and instructional software.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects.
- 1 year of previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position preferred.
- Certification(s) as a trainer in TCI and/or CPR/First Aid/AED is preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
- Organized and able to create multiple timelines and schedules.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
- Ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs.
