Job DescriptionCompany/Position Overview: Our client, a non-profit in the educational field is hiring a Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of certain aspects of entrepreneurial programming and events, specifically with Middle Schools. In addition, the role includes a variety of mentoring activities to support young entrepreneurs.Compensation: $42,000 - $49,500/yearBenefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate workshops and classes for middle school students as part of their school requirements
  • Conduct outreach to middle schools and teachers of middle grades to inform them of the benefits and availability of programming
  • Work closely with Senior Director of Program Outreach to identify interested teachers and schools for program implementation
  • Successfully onboard and manage accounts of middle-grade teachers/schools using the program, from initial conversation through program completion
  • Conduct teacher trainings for middle-grade programs
  • Manage all data input and tracking for all middle school programs
  • Actively solicit applications from potential program participants
  • Assist in the execution of workshops for program participants
  • As needed support other programs
  • Constantly promote and facilitate various activities for program participants

Other Duties:

  • Provide support to other program management team members as needed
  • Represent the organization at various functions as needed to promote programs
  • Attend outside activities as requested/required
  • Coordinate/assist with special projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skill & Ability:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices associated with effective training techniques
  • Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with children and adults
  • Ability to handle stress and maintain discipline while working with up to 25 children per session, grades 5 - 9
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports
  • Ability to multitask, plan, organize, and carry out assignments within given deadlines
  • Ability to exercise attention to detail
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and other software
  • High energy and personable
  • Ability to become and maintain CPR certification
  • Must have reliable transportation

Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working with children
  • 1+ years of experience working in and facilitating educational programs
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship is a strong plus
