A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available southeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma, at a high school specializing in resource support for students with mild to moderate disabilities. This onsite contract role is designed for the next school year and offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in both special education and high school mathematics instruction.
Responsibilities include providing targeted resource support to high school students in four classes: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. You will develop individualized instructional plans aligned with each students needs, adapting teaching methods to foster understanding and academic growth. Collaboration with general education teachers and support staff will be essential to ensure a prehensive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education focusing on mild to moderate disabilities
- Certification to teach high school Mathematics
- Experience teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry preferred
- Ability to create differentiated instruction for diverse learners
- Strong classroom management and munication skills
