An exciting opportunity exists for dedicated professionals in the field of special education. This contract position is set in an engaging elementary school environment in Des Plaines, IL, for the 2025/2026 school year, with three openings available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Employ innovative and differentiated instructional strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Regularly monitor and assess student progress towards IEP goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Provide both push-in and pull-out support for students in ELA and Math.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education.
- An active Illinois teaching certification.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
