A dedicated professional is sought to support students with diverse learning needs in a K-5 instructionalsetting located in Philadelphia, PA. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and fostering an inclusive environment for all students during the new school year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in inclusive settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success
Location:
Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and develop tailored instructional plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to each students education
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic and behavioral expectations
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by the school
- Create a positive and structured learning environment conducive to student growth
