Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for a K-12 educational setting in South San Francisco, CA. This is a contract position for the uping academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students with hearing impairments.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and munication strategies, including sign language and assistive technology.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly.
  • Collaborate with educational professionals, families, and support staff to promote student success.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in relevant meetings and training.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credential in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with assistive listening devices.
  • Strong organizational and munication skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
