An opportunity is available for two Special Education Teachers to support self-contained elementary classrooms serving students in grades K-3. This position is ideal for educators passionate about providing individualized instruction within a nurturing environment. The role involves working closely with a small caseload of six students, supported by a dedicated Paraprofessional, fostering a collaborative team approach to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional plans that address the academic and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities in self-contained K-3 settings.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of educational and behavioral data.
- Engage with families and multidisciplinary teams to support students development and inclusion.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to facilitate active participation and growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-3), preferably in self-contained settings.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff and families.

Location and Duration:
- Position located in Oxford, NC.
