TRG is seeking a dynamic Technical Writer to provide the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Sustainment and Readiness Directorate (SSRD) with technical documentation analysis and publication support.
This position is currently in-person with work being performed at the contractor facilities in Stafford, Virginia and Marine Corps facilities in Quantico, Virginia. Core hours are between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET), Monday through Friday.
This position is contingent upon Contract Award.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze and revise technical documentation, including technical manuals, commercial manuals, SL-3s, and I-type publications, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with Marine Corps standards.
· Apply standardized formatting, structure, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across all technical publications.
· Revise and maintain templates for technical manuals and related documentation based on evolving program and government requirements.
· Provide subject matter expertise to the Assistant Program Managers for Logistics (APMLs) and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by offering guidance on documentation development and logistics content.
· Verify the accuracy and completeness of technical content through close collaboration with technical experts.
· Work closely with program offices, IPT members, and external vendors to collect, validate, and organize technical data for documentation.
· Support the creation, revision, version control, and archiving of technical documents throughout their lifecycle.
· Organize and lead reviews of draft publications with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and finalize content for publication.
· Provide technical writing and editing services across multiple program offices under MARCORSYSCOM to support system readiness and sustainment initiatives.
Education, Clearance, and Experience
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree
· Active Secret security clearance
· 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience writing, revising, and analyzing technical documentation in accordance with Marine Corps standards
