Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This position includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of 2.3- and 3-year-old children. Daily routines in the classroom such as supervising play, reading stories, facilitating crafts, along with teaching important life skills are expected. Maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment and communicating with parents during the day is a must.
Duties
- Promote feelings of security and trust in and among children.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Talk and read to children daily.
- Follow state guidelines.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each child, family, and staff member.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene needs like diaper changing, hand washing, and dressing.
- Supervise mealtimes, ensuring proper nutrition and table manners.
- Establish and maintain a consistent daily routine including nap time and transitions between activities.
- Implement positive guidance techniques to manage behavior and resolve conflicts.
- Monitor children during playtime to ensure safety and appropriate interactions.
Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Provide quality nurturing care to all children enrolled in the program.
Experience in childcare settings, including toddler care, babysitting, or nannying.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds with no restrictions.
Ability to move quickly and sit on the floor on a regular basis.
First aid and safe sleep certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain is essential.
A nurturing demeanor with the ability to build trusting relationship with children and families.
