Executive Director – Impact Ministry Training Center (IMTC)
IMTC, a 501(c)(3) subsidiary of Christ Church, is seeking a visionary, senior-level strategic leader with strong business acumen and a proven commitment to sound financial stewardship to serve as Executive Director.
The Executive Director of the Impact Ministry Training Center (IMTC) provides high-level operational leadership and strategic oversight for IMTC’s expanding portfolio of ministry training initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring smooth operations and long-term organizational sustainability, driving innovation in global ministry training and spiritual formation, and supporting the strategic growth and development of new initiatives. The Executive Director also plays a key role in aligning IMTC’s mission with the broader vision of Christ Church and reports directly to the CEO.

Oversee day-to-day operations to support IMTC’s five and 20-year strategic goals, including preparing a monthly dashboard report for the Lead Pastor, Executive Team, and Board members.

Lead fundraising efforts to support and grow IMTC’s programs through donor relations, grants, partnerships, and other revenue streams.

Oversee hiring, onboarding, staff development, and culture-building efforts in collaboration with the Christ Church Executive Team to support IMTC’s mission, vision, and values.
Achieve Business Performance

Manage and direct the business, operational, and strategic planning for all IMTC programs.

Lead the development of a comprehensive organizational assessment, including vision, mission, execution strategies, and succession planning for key leadership roles.

Improve organizational operations by reviewing financial spending, risks, and contingency plans to ensure long-term health; collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to maintain a monthly dashboard report for leadership and the Board.

Ensure financial accountability across all areas of ministry and operations by aligning spending with budget and stewardship protocols, in coordination with the CFO.

Lead the strategic rebranding of IMTC by unifying schools and initiatives under a mission-aligned identity, coordinating all marketing and communications with the Communications Department to ensure brand consistency across the Christ Church ecosystem.

Identify and develop creative income streams to supplement grants and event offerings, including monetizing programs and resources globally, while managing and minimizing organizational risk.

Partner with Christ Church affiliates such as the CARE Center of New Jersey, Impact Publishing House, Christ Church, and Belong Group to explore and maximize cross-functional operational synergies.

Assist with the smooth and seamless implementation of the Business Ministry Planning process to ensure optimization of ministry resources.
People Management & Team Leadership

Provide senior-level leadership to IMTC program directors and staff to ensure efficient operations and maximize the impact of each program area.

Collaborate with key leaders across the Christ Church ecosystem to ensure IMTC staff operate at optimal performance levels and are aligned with the missional objectives outlined in the Five-Year Strategic Plan, which the Executive Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining.

Assemble, analyze, and review strategies in order to heighten the productivity, effectiveness, and creativity of the team members within the business and organizational areas of IMTC.

Lead, inspire, and coach a team of high-impact professionals, creating cross-training and succession to critical roles to enhance the influence and success of the Ministry.
People, Environment & Culture Responsibilities

Play a key role in shaping and sustaining a Christ-centered, high-performing culture across IMTC.

Lead initiatives such as employee engagement surveys and exit interviews to strengthen staff engagement and reinforce IMTC’s desired culture.

Foster a professional, positive, and supportive work environment by modeling Christ-centered values and promoting alignment with the mission of IMTC and its parent organization, Christ Church.

Form a strong partnership with the Executive Team to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations through various channels, including staff meetings.

Build a culture of performance by overseeing and continuously improving the Performance Review process through a strategic, developmental framework.

Collaborate with the Christ Church Executive Team to align learning and development initiatives with organizational needs, performance expectations, ministry goals, and strategic plans.

Develop and update an annual Learning Program based on performance reviews, and establish a leadership development framework that fosters coaching, growth, and accountability.

Partner with on-staff chaplains and pastors to support the emotional and spiritual well-being of employees and interns.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Divinity, Organizational Leadership, or related field, and 5–10 years of relevant experience in executive leadership or equivalent.

Equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Proven experience in fundraising, grant acquisition, and managing complex, multi-dimensional budgets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of executive organizational leadership principles and personnel management.

Ability to lead, counsel, and engage with clergy and pastoral leaders across diverse denominations at local, national, and international levels.

Skilled in responding to inquiries from staff, church members, partner churches, and the business community.

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a solution-based approach.

Strong oral and written communication abilities, with attention to detail in presenting facts and recommendations.

Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently.

Highly organized with strong writing and proofreading skills.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Windows 2000 environment required.

Knowledge of Visio, MS Outlook, and MS Project is a plus.
