Engagement as a School Psychologist offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives through psychological assessment and support. This role focuses on providing both direct and indirect services to K-12 students, fostering an environment conducive to learning and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) to identify student needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with varying degrees of autism and behavioral issues.
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and specialists.
  • Maintain a caseload of 6 students, primarily in self-contained classrooms.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to school staff regarding best practices for supporting students.
  • Document progress and adjust intervention plans based on student assessments and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral or specialist degree in school psychology.
  • Valid Mississippi school psychologist license.
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, particularly in self-contained settings.
  • Strong munication skills for engaging with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to analyze behavioral data and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with virtual assessment tools and platforms.
