A full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Dearborn, MI. This position involves a full-semester contract with onsite responsibilities, providing dedicated psychological services to meet the diverse needs of the student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments and interpret results for a K-12 caseload.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff to promote student well-being.
- Prepare thorough documentation including paperwork, reports, and planning related to assessments and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with Michigan-specific laws and guidelines, including MARSE.
- Evaluate English Language Learner (ELL) students using culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate methods.
- Foster engagement and collaboration within the school community to enhance student support systems.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Michigan school psychologist license or willingness to obtain one promptly.
- Familiarity with Michigan laws governing school psychology practice, particularly MARSE requirements.
- Experience with assessing and supporting ELL students.
- Strong skills in teamwork, communication, and advocacy within an educational environment.
- Ability to manage a comprehensive workload including direct service and indirect tasks within a 35-hour workweek.
