About Company:
Cen-Tex Family Services, Inc. (Cen-Tex) is a private, non-profit agency founded in 1993. Cen-Tex receives grant funds to provide Early Head Start/Head Start programs in Bastrop, Lee, Fayette, and Colorado counties. These programs are administered by the Office of Head Start, Department of Health and Human Services and carried out through the Hearts of Texas Head Start Program.
About the Role:
The Center Floater plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of educational services within our organization. This position involves providing support across various classrooms and programs, adapting to the needs of different age groups and learning environments. The primary goal is to enhance the educational experience for students by maintaining a consistent and engaging atmosphere. The Center Floater will collaborate with teachers and staff to implement lesson plans and assist with classroom management. Ultimately, this role is vital in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the overall mission of our educational services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in education or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with diverse learning needs and classroom management strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities across different age groups.
- Provide supervision and support to students during various educational and recreational activities.
- Adapt to different classroom environments and student needs, ensuring a seamless transition between classes.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to address any student concerns or classroom issues.
