Admissions Specialist - Full time. Day, evening, overnight shifts. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the program.
The Admissions Specialist is responsible for engaging prospective patients and families by providing information about Wellbridge programs and the admissions process. The Admissions Specialist is also responsible for ongoing outreach to referral sources, families and patients considering admission to Wellbridge.
Responsibilities include:
- Effectively communicates information about Wellbridge programs and campus and explains what sets Wellbridge apart from other treatment centers.
- Is always professional with emphasis on easing anxiety, building trust and confidence, and offering clarity to prospective patients, families and treatment providers.
- Responds promptly to all phone calls and inquiries from prospective patients, families, and treatment providers.
- Gathers prospective patient’s demographic information, insurance information and referral source and enters information into the EMR and CRM.
- Explains self-pay, in-network, and out of network rates to families and collects any out of pocket costs related to a patient’s treatment.
- Follows prospective patients throughout the pipeline and follows up with those who have not completed a clinical intake.
- Collaborates with patients, family members, and referents in regards to prospective admissions.
- Collaborates directly with Clinical and Medical team to ensure a warm handoff after successful admission.
- Welcomes admitting patients into the facility, eases their anxiety and provides an exceptional patient experience. Obtains required consents and acknowledgements.
Experience and Qualifications
- Associate’s degree with 1 – 2 years of experience working in a call center or behavioral health setting, BA in human service related field is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills required to facilitate conversations with patients, staff, nurses, physicians, etc.
- Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, convincingly, and effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, etc)
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- At least two years of experience working with substance use or mental health
- Knowledge of use of an Electronic Medical Records System (EMR)
- Knowledge of a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of health insurance benefits and health insurance terms
Posted salary range is a good faith estimate and includes applicable shift differentials.
