Job Description:
As a Special Education Teacher in New Orleans, youll play a crucial role in creating and delivering individualized instruction that meets the unique needs of students with disabilities. This includes developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with general education staff, assessing student progress, and using adaptive techniques and tools to foster growth and success. Your day-to-day work will focus on academic, behavioral, and social development in an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Louisiana State Requirements:
Applicants must possess a valid Louisiana teaching certificate with an endorsement in Special Education or be eligible to obtain one. A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required, though a masters degree is preferred. Candidates must complete all required fingerprinting, background checks, and district-level onboarding.
