Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the upcoming school year in an elementary setting serving students from grades K-5. This contract position offers the chance to support young learners with autism in a self-contained classroom environment focused on individualized instruction.

The students primarily are non-verbal and may exhibit behaviors such as eloping. The role requires implementation of discrete trial teaching techniques and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies to meet each students unique needs. Strong classroom management skills and patience are essential to create a safe and productive learning space.

Key qualifications include:

• Valid teaching certification for Elementary K-5
• Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped
• Experience working with children with autism and implementing ABA strategies
• Ability to manage behaviors and provide structured, supportive instruction

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized lesson plans tailored to students individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Utilize discrete trial teaching to promote skill acquisition and communication
• Monitor and document student progress and behavioral observations
• Collaborate with related service providers and families to support student success
