JOB DESCRIPTION: PLACEMENT LEADER
Department: Compliance
Primary Supervisor: Executive Director of Financial Aid and Compliance
JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
The Placement Leader is responsible for overseeing the professional development and career placement services offered to students and graduates. This includes training on career development skills, job placement, employment retention, and employer engagement. The Placement Leader ensures all career services align with compliance standards and meet applicable state requirements for professional development topics and documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – SOFT SKILLS

Facilitates classes that focus on résumé writing, job interview preparation, personal branding through social media, and developing client relationships.

Educates students on industry best practices, finding mentors, continuing education, and professional growth.

Maintains a calendar with the Education Leader to schedule and teach professional development classes.

Schedules inspirational and motivational guest speaker classes alongside the Education Leader.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – CAREER SERVICES

Provides career planning and marketing strategies to assist students in transitioning from school to employment.

Builds and maintains relationships with employers to support student and alumni job placement.

Organizes and hosts career fairs, on-campus hiring events, and graduations.

Maintains credential/licensing records.

Partners with compliance staff to ensure placement verification and documentation processes meet federal and institutional standards.

Collects, analyzes, and reports placement data; maintains the Placement Drive and updates information in FAME, Freedom, and CRM systems.

Maintains a calendar of professional development events including salon/spa/barbershop visits and advisory meetings.

Maintains the “Look Who’s Hiring” and “Where Are They Now” bulletin board and employer contact lists.

Coordinates with the Education Leader to schedule salon/spa/barbershop guest artist sessions.

Maintains open-door policy for job placement support and guidance.

Collects and communicates employer and student feedback through surveys and management meetings.

Educates students on job recruitment platforms and coaches them in their usage.
