As a substitute in the Pre-k classroom you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in the classroom. Some of these tasks include: Greeting students as they arrive, supervising children during bathroom breaks and activities such as recess, specials, centers, classroom lessons and activities, reading to students and helping them as needed. Wiping down tables before snack and lunch, setting up for and cleaning up after crafts and activities. Making sure children are safe at all times of the day through active participation, observation, and intervening when necessary, and/or when asked to by the teacher, interacting with all students and staff with kindness and respect.

Requirements:

Individual staff members will need to pass multiple background checks, as well complete necessary paperwork and training in order to be in the preschool classroom. Training will be completed on an online service titled PDIS and staff members will be compensated for their time to do so.
