LOCATION: 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE, Suite 550 East, Albuquerque, NM 87110

WEEKLY HOURS: .5 COURSE CREDIT: 3 hrs/wk or 45 hours/semester (or 2 quarters) plus complete a 30-hour self-reflection project during the last week (week 14) of the internship.

HOURLY PAY: $15/hr stipend (No taxes withheld)

WHEN WORK HAPPENS: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Summary of Position

  • Assist in creating and starring in short instructional videos to support educational initiatives.
  • Help test, inventory, and set up makerspace materials for use in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning spaces.
  • Provide support during district-provided professional development (PD), including offering teacher assistance, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Assist with vetting online modules and training for educational relevance and effectiveness.
  • Participate in meetings to record minutes, collaborate, and provide insight on ideas for educational tools and initiatives.
  • Attend and observe troubleshooting calls and emails to gain practical experience and insights into educational technology implementation.

  • Troubleshooting skills to assist with technical issues during troubleshooting calls and emails.
  • Initiative and willingness to learn and gain practical experience in educational technology implementation.
  • Attention to work rules and deadlines


Exposure & Training provided through an internship.

Depending on the intern's abilities to learn and deliver the assigned tasks, we will be offering the following training

  • Video creation and editing training to assist in creating short instructional videos.
  • Training on makerspace materials and their usage for testing, inventorying, and setting up makerspace materials.
  • Professional development training on teacher assistance techniques and troubleshooting strategies to provide effective support during professional development sessions.
  • Training on vetting online modules and training for educational relevance, effectiveness, and evaluation criteria.
  • Meeting etiquette and note-taking training to effectively participate in meetings, record minutes, and collaborate on ideas.
  • Training on observing and handling troubleshooting calls and emails to gain practical experience.
  • Additional training on specific educational technologies, software, or tools relevant to the department's initiatives.
  • Content management system support - updating and migrating web content, including images, text, and various multimedia content.
