Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instructional services to students with visual impairments. This full-time position serves a caseload of 2530 students across 3 to 4 school buildings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse needs and able to collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, including those with additional disabilities.

  • Develop and implement IEP goals specific to students' visual and educational needs.

  • Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, therapists, and families to support student learning and access.

  • Adapt instructional materials and provide access to appropriate assistive technology and Braille resources.

  • Support orientation and mobility specialists when applicable, and coordinate services as needed.

  • Travel between 34 assigned school sites within the district/region.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ply with state and federal special education requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license as a Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI/TVI)

  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of assistive technology for students with visual impairments

  • Excellent munication, organization, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites

Schedule and Location:

  • This position requires a mitment of 40hours per week

  • Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar (August 25, 2025- June 5, 2026)

  • Work will be based on-sitein New Hope, MN
