Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Job Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Colorado state and local certification requirements, including:

A bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution

A valid Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education Generalist (K12), issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)

Completion of all required background checks and fingerprinting

Knowledge of IEP development and implementation in compliance with federal and state regulations

Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students academic and behavioral growth through individualized strategies. Responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Providing instruction in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classrooms
-
Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families
-
Monitoring and documenting student progress toward IEP goals
-
Ensuring compliance with IDEA, state guidelines, and district policies
-
Creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
