When you join IAFC, you're not just starting a job—you’re joining a mission-driven organization that invests in your growth while empowering you to help others thrive.

About the Role:

Do you speak fluent baby babble and know that finger painting is a serious art form?
Can you rock a lullaby and a lesson plan before lunchtime? If the answer is yes, then grab your favorite puppet and come join our joyful team!

About Us:
We’re a passionate Early Learning agency committed to laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning, one giggle at a time. Our early childhood program helps families grow stronger and little ones grow smarter — and we’re looking for an Infant Toddler Teacher who’s ready to make a BIG difference in the tiniest lives.

Your Mission (should you choose to accept it):
As an Infant Toddler Teacher, you’ll be the nurturing guide for our youngest learners (ages 0-3), providing a safe, loving, and curiosity-filled environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth. You’ll be the architect of play-based learning, the cheerleader of first steps, and the supportive partner to parents on this amazing journey.

What You’ll Do (besides accept toddler hugs daily):

  • Create and lead age-appropriate activities that spark imagination and development.

  • Build a classroom that’s equal parts safe, clean, and full of joy.

  • Observe, assess, and document developmental milestones (first steps are a big deal here).

  • Be the anchor of emotional support for little ones navigating their world.

  • Team up with fellow teachers and staff to deliver exceptional early childhood education.

Your Superpowers:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • At least two years of Early Childhood teaching experience.
  • Infant/Toddler staff must also have coursework or training relevant to this age group.

????Location Assignments:
We have openings in the South Suburbs and Western Suburbs — helping our littlest learners thrive in their own neighborhoods!

How This Aligns with Our Mission:

At our core, we’re all about catalyzing change by developing strong families and powerful communities. As a Family Engagement Specialist with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in this mission by shaping the minds of the next generation while also being a positive force in the lives of their families. You’re not just pushing paper—you’re helping to create a ripple effect that strengthens entire communities where children truly matter most.

While we desire for this job posting to be comprehensive, all aspects of the position may be amended at any time at the discretion of IAFC including job duties, work location and/or work schedule.

IL Action for Children is EEO/M/F/V/D employer.
