Summary
Join our amazing team at the Carriage House Early Learning Center in Breckenridge, Colorado! We are hiring a full time Preschool Lead Teacher. Carriage House is a play-based early childhood school utilizing the Creative Curriculum, as well as, the Pyramid Plus approach to support social and emotional growth. We care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years with incredible ratios, a strong team, great pay, and a full benefits package. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and love the Colorado mountain lifestyle. Our Preschool Lead Teachers are qualified in the state of Colorado through Colorado Shines Professional Credential Level 2 or hold an Early Childhood Education degree, have experience working with young children in a group setting, and are flexible and adaptable to new situations. Carriage House has been "doing what is best for kids since 1973!"
Duties
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum and care based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
- Maintain assessments and observations
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Engage in personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
*EC Lead Teacher qualified or hold a Colorado Shines Level 2 credential (or able to obtain within 2 weeks of employment)
*Ability to communicate and work well with others (staff, children, and parents)
*Must clear full background check
*Full time work schedule(4 days/week)
*Enroll in 2 (fully paid by Carriage House) Early Childhood classes, if needed, within the first year of employment
