This full-time position involves working within a K-12 environment, providing essential support to students across various school sites. Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education, preferably with a focus on Visual Impairment.
  • Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, demonstrating effective instructional strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside other professionals.
  • Ability to adapt materials and methods to meet individual student needs.

Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate students into the classroom.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in the use of assistive technology and adaptive materials.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student development.
