Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.
This opportunity is for Special Education Teachers to serve students in a K-12 school setting. The position is based in Aurora, IL, and follows a school-year calendar with contract duration aligned accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- Deliver instruction and support in accordance with special education best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Experience working with students across K-12 grade levels.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to design differentiated lessons and municate effectively with students, staff, and families.
