An opportunity exists for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Kansas City, MO. This position offers a full school year contract, from August 13, 2025, through May 22, 2026, providing essential educational services to elementary, middle, and high school students. Both resource and self-contained classroom openings are available, allowing for diverse teaching experiences within special education.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Missouri Special Education Certificate.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings is preferred.
- Strong commitment to individualized teaching approaches and student development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records.
- Provide differentiated instruction in both resource and self-contained settings.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.
