Position Details:
- Title: ADOS-2 Diagnostician
- Location: Alexandria, VA
- Schedule: Full-time - 9am-6pm M-F
- Salary: $65k-$85k
Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ADOS-2 Diagnostician to join our team at Flywheel Centers. The diagnostician will play a key role in the diagnostic process for children suspected of having autism spectrum disorder (ASD), utilizing the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), alongside clinical expertise and standardized assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and score ADOS-2 assessments as part of comprehensive autism evaluations
- Conduct clinical interviews and developmental histories with families and caregivers
- Integrate assessment data and produce comprehensive diagnostic reports
- Collaborate with BCBAs, therapists, and support staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and continuity of care
- Provide feedback to families in a professional, empathetic manner
- Maintain clear documentation and comply with HIPAA standards and center policies
Qualifications:
- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related clinical field
- Certification or formal training in ADOS-2 administration and scoring
- Minimum 2 years of experience conducting autism evaluations using ADOS-2
- Licensure (if applicable) in your professional discipline preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of ASD, developmental disorders, and differential diagnosis
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills
