PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. ORIENTATION:
- Plans, implements, and evaluates the orientation and continuing education for all Center personnel.
- Conducts Consumer Service Management Training monthly and during New Hire Orientation in conjunction with the Administrator or other designee.
B. TRAINING:
- Provides job-specific training for Resident Care Assistants.
- Provides Nurse Aide training for Resident Care Assistants according to State, Federal, and Center regulations and policies.
- Provides clinical skill training for licensed personnel.
- Provides all in-services as required according to State, Federal, and Company regulations and policies.
C. ADMINISTRATIVE:
- Maintains comprehensive documentation according to State, Federal, and Company regulations and policies.
- Performs administrative tasks directly related to employee training and education.
D. CONSUMER SERVICE:
- Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech.
- Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
- Ensures that all consumer and resident rights are protected.
E. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current nursing licensure in California required.
- Minimum one year of healthcare training and/or staff development experience in either acute or long-term care setting (or) a minimum of two years of clinical experience long-term care including supervisory experience required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English for business necessity.
- Experience in general office procedure including typing and filing required.
