Service Delivery: Onsite Only (no virtual service permitted for this role)
Locations: Two school districts within reasonable travel distance (travel time pensated within hourly rate)

Job Description:
Lincoln IU 12 is seeking a qualified Itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across two school districts during the 20252026 school year. This is an onsite-only position serving students in multiple schools, with travel between districts included in the hourly pensation. The role may be filled as full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments in both academic and functional settings

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams

• Deliver instruction in braille, assistive technology, and pensatory skills as needed

• Serve students across all grade levels, from preschool to high school

• Support a caseload that is primarily Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI)-focused, with some traditional vision and braille instruction

• Travel between assigned school sites as required (mileage/time accounted for in hourly rate)

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure student access and success

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired

• Experience working with students with CVI and/or braille instruction preferred

• Strong organizational, munication, and time management skills

• Ability to work independently across multiple school environments

• Reliable transportation required for travel between schools
