Contract Position for 2025-2026 School Year

Soliant Education is seeking dedicated and licensed Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time openings in Gustavus, Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of K-12 students while enjoying the unique setting of Southeast Alaska. Travel stipend packages are available to assist with relocation or travel costs.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Special Education Teacher

• Location: Onsite in Gustavus, AK (Hybrid Option Available: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

• Dates: August 4, 2025 May 20, 2026

• Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

• Pay Range: $40 - $52 per hour

• Travel Stipend: Available speak with recruiter for details

• Grade Levels: K-12 openings

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to support student learning

• Adapt lessons to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities

• Maintain accurate student records and ply with all state and federal regulations

• Provide both academic and behavioral support to students

• Participate in school and IEP meetings as required

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Alaska Special Education Teaching License or ability to obtain before start of the school year

• All necessary state certifications must be current

• Prior experience working in Special Education preferred

• Strong munication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work onsite in Gustavus, or participate in a hybrid schedule
