A school in Somerset, WI is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the uping school year, serving kindergarten through 2nd grade students. This full-time contract position runs from August 27th to June 6th and involves working with a small group of approximately 10 students with moderate and mild disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students in kindergarten through 2nd grade with special needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation in pliance with state regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social and academic growth
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin cross-categorical special education teaching license
- Experience working with young children (K-2) with moderate and mild disabilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent munication and organizational skills
