Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification or endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop tailored instructional plans
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Create and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and support services to enhance student outes
- Provide direct instruction using effective munication strategies
- Monitor students progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
