A leading elementary school in Taylors, SC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract position during the uping school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student growth and inclusion
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and assistive technologies to enhance learning
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adapting strategies as needed
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in pliance with district and state regulations
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of South Carolina
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and classroom management strategies
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in meeting diverse student needs
