About the Role:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of intermediate-level students. You will collaborate with a team of committed professionals to evaluate student progress, create supportive learning environments, and communicate effectively with families to ensure every student thrives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement daily lesson plans that address individual student needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and timely reports
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to identify and address student challenges
• Maintain open, positive communication with parents, administrators, and colleagues
• Uphold a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment
• Stay current with professional development to enhance teaching skills
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of certification and employment

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey State Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (#2475 with Endorsement #1001) or Teacher of Handicap (#2470) or Elementary K-5 certification
• Successful completion of New Jersey Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting
• Compliance with New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees
