A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the full school year at an elementary school serving K-2 students with emotional disorders. This contract position provides the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' academic and social development through specialized instruction and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with emotional disorders in grades K through 2.
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each student in a supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success and well-being.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to achieve educational goals.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all documentation and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly K-2.
- Background or specialized training in supporting students with emotional disorders.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
