Preschool Teacher Aide
Position Summary:
The Preschool Teacher Aide at Owl’s Nest Childcare LLC supports the Lead Teacher in delivering a high-quality early childhood education program. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, in compliance with California Title 22 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support:
- Assist in preparing materials and setting up the classroom for daily activities.
Support the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities.

- Assist in preparing materials and setting up the classroom for daily activities.
- Child Supervision and Care:
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest periods.
Assist children with personal hygiene, including diapering and toileting, as needed.
Monitor children for signs of illness or injury and report to the Lead Teacher.

- Administrative Duties:
Help maintain accurate records of attendance and daily activities.
Communicate with parents during drop-off and pick-up times, as appropriate.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of six units postsecondary semester units in early childhood education or child development.
- Alternatively, enrollment in at least two postsecondary semester units in early childhood education or child development each semester or quarter following initial employment, continuing until six units have been completed.
Experience:
Previous experience in a child care setting is preferred but not required.
Other Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Work under the direct supervision of a fully qualified teacher.
Clearance of criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by the California Department of Social Services.
