An opportunity is available for an on-site full-time school psychologist to support an elementary school setting in Waldport, OR. The position runs as a contract from September 2, 2025, through June 11, 2025, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. This role involves working closely with students across various educational needs, contributing to their academic and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological services and assessments for students in both general education and special education settings
- Manage a caseload averaging around 800 general education students and 130 special education students, with some variation based on assignment
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized educational plans and interventions
- Deliver support for behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges to promote student success and well-being
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a school psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-age students, particularly in general and special education environments
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently while maintaining quality services
