This contract opportunity invites certified Michigan Special Education professionals to provide specialized instructional support for middle school students during the extended school year. This role focuses on delivering tailored educational services to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic and social development in a collaborative school environment.
Qualifications:
- Michigan Special Educator certification required
- Solid understanding of learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies
- Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with educators, students, and families
- Prior experience working with middle school students in special education settings
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods for varied learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs that address students' unique educational requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster inclusive classrooms
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and guardians to report progress and coordinate supports
