Summary

Chandler Jewish Preschool is a magical place to work! We are ready to find the right teacher for our toddler classroom! We are a Jewish, Reggio Emilia inspired preschool with a strong community of dedicated educators. Our program views children as highly capable, motivated, and deserving of respect. We follow a Conscious Discipline practice of supporting emotional growth, and we expand our love and support to our teachers by including planning and documentation time each week along with many other motivational perks. We are seeking a teacher who enjoy working in collaboration, observing children in their natural play state, and finding interesting ways to scaffold their educational experiences. Teachers who would like to deepen their study of early childhood, play-based learning, and documentation skills are a good fit for our school.

Duties

  • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through daily app updates, weekly documentation, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children..
  • Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain reliable attendance record and arrive on time.



Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a family environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Flexibility to work with all age groups that our school serves.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and a sense of humor when faced with challenges.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings
