Pharmacy Technician - Customer Support
Location: Remote
Compensation & Schedule
• $19-$20/hr base | $21/hr for certified or licensed Pharmacy Technicians
• Training Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:30AM – 6:30PM CST (3 weeks)
• Work Schedule After Training: Monday–Friday (8-hour shift | 1:00PM– 10:00PM CST)
• Off Saturdays | OT every other Sunday for 4 hours (between 8:30AM – 4:30PM CST)
• Start date: Monday, June 9th, 2025
ROLE IMPACT
As a vital link between members, providers, and pharmacies, this role ensures timely, high-quality support on pharmacy benefit inquiries and claim resolutions. Success is defined by your ability to resolve issues with precision and professionalism, while upholding world-class customer service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Respond to high-volume inbound calls (90% of time) regarding pharmacy benefits, claims, and provider issues
• Deliver exceptional, white-glove service to members, pharmacies, and providers
• Enter accurate call data and member information into claims and record systems
• Follow up on unresolved issues including prior authorizations and override approvals
• Route inquiries to appropriate internal departments and monitor claim processing status
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ year of pharmacy technician or pharmacy-related customer service experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with pharmacy claims systems and data entry procedures
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, call-center environment
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Pharmacy claims processing systems
• Call center software
• CRM platforms
• Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience handling prior authorizations and overrides
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance in healthcare communication
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
