Exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs. This role focuses on creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for high school students requiring special education services.
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
Hours: 35 hours/week
Caseload: Approximately 28 high school students
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning.
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist credential in Mild/Mod (MMSN or ESN).
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed (ED) students is a plus.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
- Spanish-speaking candidates preferred, though not required.
