Summary

Generations Montessori School of Charlottesville is proudly entering our 10th year of nurturing young minds. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Primary Guide to join our close-knit and collaborative team, for Fall 2025.

What We Are Looking For:
*A warm, dependable educator who loves working with preschool-aged children ages 3 to 5 (required)
*Bachelor's degree preferred
*Montessori experience or training is a plus but not required-we are willing to train the right candidate!
*A collaborative spirit and passion for child-led learning

Duties

Set up classroom and change units throughout the year
Supervise and ensure the physical and emotional well being of the children at all times
Promote a positive team environment by leading with integrity, offering constructive feedback, and guiding colleagues to meet shared educational goals
Complete at least 16 hours of professional development each year
Be familiar with the regulations set out the the Virginia Department of Social Services
Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, and caring attitude to all students

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check
A passionate educator with experience working with preschool children
Someone who values a calm, respectful, and nurturing environment for our young learners

Nice To Haves

Montessori credentials
CPR/First Aid Certification
MAT certification
