As the Lead Teacher in a GSRP classroom at Heartfelt Impressions you will plan and execute a program of activities that is developmentally appropriate and meets the individual needs of children through the High Scope curriculum.
POSITION DETAIL:
- 2025-2026 School year
- Regular, full-time
- Days, Monday – Friday
- Hours, 7:30am-4:30pm
- Desired start Monday August 25, 2025
- Pay Range $24-$30/hour, depending on education and experience level
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field
- CPR Certification required
- Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Childcare Licensing guidelines for ECE teachers
- Must have full-time availability and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check (fingerprinting)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE GSRP LEAD TEACHER…
- Operates class efficiently and effectively ensuring safety of the child while supervising and coaching assistant teachers and resource teachers and staff
- Participates in required professional development hours for the purpose of staying current with the latest and best practices
- Creates a learning environment that reflects the diversity and culture of children and families in the classroom
- Develop and use instructional materials suitable for a learning environment for children with a wide range of cognitive, physical and emotional maturity
- Maintain a routine schedule of data collection for child assessment through anecdotal notes
- Compliance with licensing, QRIS, GSRP implementation manual
- Relationship management with families and children, exhibiting Heartfelt Core Values
- Develops and utilizes instructional materials aligned with the High Scope curriculum to create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the student's interest
