This contract position involves full-time onsite work within a single school location, requiring commitment to supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities. The role offers a balanced caseload tailored to your qualifications and experience, fostering a rewarding teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Manage a caseload across K-12 grade levels, adapting teaching methods to diverse learner needs
- Collaborate with school staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in school activities and professional development opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress to relevant stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education
- Valid LD or Multi-categorical teaching certification
- South Carolina teaching license required
- Experience working with varied special education populations preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Location:
- Charleston, SC area including James Island and Mt. Pleasant
