Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time opportunity seeks experienced Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students across elementary, middle, and high school settings in Birmingham, AL. Multiple openings are available for educators with active Alabama Special Education credentials who are passionate about delivering individualized instruction in self-contained classrooms. This contract position offers a typical workweek of 37.5 hours with consistent scheduling throughout the next school year.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing tailored educational plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
  • Managing self-contained classrooms to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers to ensure students academic, behavioral, and social growth.
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation aligned with state and federal guidelines.

  • Active Alabama Special Education Teacher credentials.
