The Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 (BCUSD 100) is a public school district in Belvidere, Illinois, serving grades PreK-12. The district comprises 12 schools: 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high schools, and one alternative program. The district's current superintendent is Dr. Cassandra Schug. Responsibilities:

Individualized Support: Paraprofessionals provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students with disabilities, reinforcing learning, and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
IEP Implementation: They assist with implementing IEPs, which outline a student's educational goals and specific supports.
Behavioral Support: Paraprofessionals may assist with implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to help students manage challenging behaviors.
Personal Care: Depending on the student's needs, paraprofessionals may assist with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and transferring students to adaptive equipment.
Classroom Management: They help with classroom organization, preparing materials, and managing student behavior to create a positive learning environment.
Data Collection and Monitoring: Paraprofessionals may assist in collecting data on student progress and behavior, which can be used to track IEP goals.
Community-Based Instruction: They may accompany students on field trips and other community outings, reinforcing learning and promoting positive behavior in public settings.
Other Duties: Paraprofessionals may also assist with administrative tasks, record-keeping, and communication with parents and other staff.

Requirements:

Educator Licensure - Paraprofessional
At least 19 years of age to serve students in prekindergarten through grade 12

Plan to attend and meet face-to-face with hiring managers.
