Summary
Great Beginnings Early Learning Center is a privately owned and operated Christian Preschool. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Director to come along side our Center Director and Management Team to equip children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old as the play, learn, and grow in our nuturing educational program. The Assistant Director works Monday to Friday. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, the center runs smoothly under the guidance of operational management systems and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
Duties
- Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence.
- Strict adherence to the Department of Education Licensing Standards.
- Operations Management and daily center oversight.
- Aid in hiring, incentivizing, disciplining, and maintaining compliance management with staff.
- Employee Review and Appraisal.
- Center designee
- Flexibility and problem solving.
- Creative Classroom Management.
- Updating Center Standards and ensuring compliance amongst team members.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to quality standards in accordance with Center guidelines and state and local requirements; implement improvements where needed.
- Quality Control and Assurance Manager
Requirements
- 2+ years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
- High energy.
- A strong understanding of child development and the licensing regulations as outlined in the Department of Education Licensing Standards
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
