Special Education Teacher K-5 Self-Contained (Full-Time)
Location: Bloomfield, NJ

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in a school district located in Bloomfield, NJ. This role is for the 20252026 school year and involves working with K5 students in a self-contained classroom designed for students with autism.

Job Details:

• Full-time, on-site position

• Grades: Kindergarten through 5th grade

• Classroom setting: Self-contained for students with autism

• Student profile: Primarily non-verbal; may exhibit behaviors such as eloping

• Instructional strategies: Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

• Start Date: 20252026 school year

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Elementary Education (K5)

• Must also hold one of the following:

• Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification

• Teacher of the Handicapped certification

• Experience with students on the autism spectrum preferred

• Familiarity with ABA methodology and behavioral support strategies is strongly desired
