POSITION TITLE: Business Ventures Café Team Trainer (Non-Exempt Position)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Business Ventures Supervisor/Food Services Supervisor

MAJOR DUTIES: The Business Ventures, (B.V.), Food Service Team Trainer works under the supervision of the Business Ventures Supervisor. This position has the primary responsibility to train all new team members to prepare menu items according to specifications and to deliver prepared food and beverages to the appropriate location. The team trainer is also responsible for the sanitation of the work area as well as washing dishes and the stocking of food and supplies. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent performs the following duties independently:

  1. Train team members to stock and prepare food items and beverages.
  2. Assists in daily cleanup of the kitchen and service areas, refrigerators, ice machine, meat slicer, mixer, floor, dish washing machine, garbage, and recyclables.
  3. Performs deep cleaning at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the department supervisor.
  4. Oversees food inventory by monitoring, stocking, rotating, and storing food properly.
  5. Responsible for ordering of supplies as necessary and helps check in orders upon arrival.
  6. Maintains good health habits (washing hands often, clean clothes, well groomed.)
  7. Opens and/or locks up according to outlined procedures; and
  8. Trains all new Café Team Members on all duties and in all areas of the Café.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

  1. One (1) year of café or food service experience required.
  2. Able to follow written and verbal direction.
  3. Able to follow recipes.
  4. Able to maintain a current Clark County Food Handlers Card.
  5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Great attendance.
  7. Ability to work well with others.

GUIDELINES

Requires that the incumbent relies on specialized training and/or equivalent experience and performs duties in accordance with Washington Administrative Codes, Federal regulations governing the confidentiality of patient, and Lifeline Connections Policy and Procedure Manual. This positon requires that you follow the direction of the Business Ventures Supervisor.

PERSONAL CONTACTS

All personal contacts are carried out in accordance with federal and state laws dealing with the confidentiality of patient records. The incumbent will learn appropriate boundaries and appropriate communication with patients and staff.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, speak clearly, hear and use hands and fingers to manipulate kitchen utensils. Additionally, the employee is often required to walk, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or lift and/or move a maximum of 50 lbs. The employee may occasionally be required to sit and use hands and fingers to manipulate writing utensils and keys on a keyboard.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Working hours are spent indoors in a kitchen environment or other meeting rooms. Participation in staff meetings and staff development activities will be required.

Salary: $19.17 / hr DOE
